Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.
best inexpensive robot vacuum encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. In addition, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect if the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a wealth of settings available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via direct buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
